    Guys, just watch this.

You may not be the one who stops Kony. You may not be the one who saves the children. In reality, you most likely will not be. Reblogging a video does nothing for the children. Knowing who this guy is will do nothing to stop him. In all probability, if this guy is stopped, another man just like him will likely rise up and replace him.

    But…

What if you share this and someone that can make difference watches this? What if you tell someone about Kony and they tell someone and they tell someone and then they tell someone who has influence? I agree that thinking that making this guy known will ultimately stop him may be far fetched and silly… but what if it isn’t?

I’ve thought about this… and though I might not make an ounce of difference, where is the harm in trying? There’s a 99.999999& chance that this will do nothing. But, the thing I’m trying to say is… what if it does? Don’t be cynical of a movement just because it’s popular and has an emotional video with Mumford & Sons songs and wanna be hipsters. See what it could be… not what people are making it.

Reblog this video… just on the small off chance that it does make a difference. Neither you nor I will know unless we do it.

    Watch this. Share this.

  6. Christians must keep in mind that we are lanterns not lit to merely shine our light in an already illuminated room, for that would be redundant. Rather, we are to shine our light in darkness. It is the darkness that is deprived of light.

  8. My child, you keep asking for my presence and you keep begging me to touch you, but do you not know that I shall draw near to those who draw near to me? Come to me. Not just in prayers of repentance! Not just with songs of worship! Not just in daily readings of the Word! Come to me with all that you are. If you truly desired me, as you say you do, you would be willing to let go of the things blocking you from encountering my sacred heart. I speak the truth when I say that you have little patience and you have chosen to let your heart harden. But I am more than willing to pour out my Spirit on you. All I ask is that you draw near to me, my child. Seek me, not just after you sin and not just when needing wisdom. Seek me at all times and do what must be done to keep your heart seeking. I will give you the grace needed to encounter me and walk with me. Just draw near to me and I shall draw near to you.

  9. Oh hey guys. Remember me?
Remember that Masters Commission thing I talked about before? Well I got in.. Been in for 5 months now and it’s pretty awesome to say the least. There’s so much that has happened I couldn’t possibly write all about it at once. So I’ll just refer back to things that have happened when need e.
In the meantime I’ll update about the present.. Today we go to an elementary s school to mento and Han out with K-6 graders. Mondays are my favorite for this reason.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.  She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her.  I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
Dear God,Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.Love, MeredithWe put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office.A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet.  I told her that I thought He had.Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies.’Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:Dear Meredith,Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog.Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.Love,God…
